How does studying chemistry give us a better view of how industry affects the world?

Chemistry gives us a better view on how industry affects us by giving us the cautions, side effects and outcomes. When something bad goes on, chemistry effects us by giving the bigger picture of industry. It will show that something wrong is happening in industry which gives us a view that it is most likely bad and has a negative effect on our environment. It also shows the side effects which could damage or do well in our environment. We can then chose whether or not we should keep our industry going along or end it so we can prevent further damage. The outcomes are the most important because it bases if the industry is really needed or not. If we stopped with some industry out environment and planet would be some what saved, but we can act now too.

KWL

Chemistry: the study of matter and dealing with the composition of substances and their properties and reactions.
What I know:
1. You add the electrons to find the element
2. There can only be 2,8 and 16 in the first, second and third layers
3. Protons are positive neutrons are zero and electrons are negative
4. Protons and electrons ALWAYS need to be even
What I want to know:
1. Why do atoms undergo physical changes?
2. Who invented the periodic table?
3. How do atoms multiply?
4. Can you see atoms with a microscope?
What I Learned:
1. Atoms cannot be seen by microscopes
2. Atomic number is how many electrons and protons
3. Atomic mass-protons= number of neutrons
4. Valence electrons show how many can be shared
5. Undergo physical changes because they bond
6. Many people who discovered the elements
7. Bond by sharing or taking
8. MUCH MORE :)
